IoT Tribe North is the industrial technology acceleration programme located in Barnsley in the north of the UK. The flagship programme accelerates startups from across the globe in the areas of IoT, AI, and cyber security. Programme alumni have achieved contracts with 47 major corporates and public agencies.

As a commercial accelerator programme, IoT Tribe North supports the open innovation efforts and technological adoption of corporate partners focusing on the identification of potential use cases and piloting of novel technologies with the Tribe companies.

The startups came from outside the region and were integrated into the local ecosystem from the start. Both Sheffield universities, the University of Huddersfield, Rolls Royce, the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, and Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council all contributed to the startups’ extended network of support.
